Montana Serves Testing Ground for TikTok-free America
With Montana Governor Greg Gianforte signing a bill on May 17, 2023 that bans the use of TikTok, the state becomes an experimental ground for judicial challenges over the First Amendment rights, national security, governmental jurisdiction to control platform content and technological disruptions. The law is to be effective July 1, 2023.
