Solar Storm Biggest in Six Years

The January 22, 2012, solar flare-up was the biggest in six years, and occurred at 10PM US central time. A solar eruption follows one-two-three punch: First comes electromagnetic radiation, second comes radiation in terms of Proton, and third comes Coronal Mass Ejection--plasma from the sun itself--most noticeable and impactful event on the earth.
